Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This policy explains what data this website does, and deliberately does not, collect, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we run no advertising pixels or cross-site tracking cookies, we use only a cookieless, aggregate-only analytics tool, and we never sell or share personal information.
What we collect
- Nothing personally identifiable, unless you contact us. This is a static website with no accounts and no comment system. It does not collect names, emails, or health information from browsing alone.
- What you submit through our contact form. If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you type in, so we can read and reply to you. That submission is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, which delivers it to us by email, see Formspree's privacy policy for how they handle it in transit. We use what you submit only to reply to you, we don't add you to a mailing list, sell it, or use it for advertising. If your message includes health information, that's something you chose to share with us to get a reply, we handle it the same way, solely to answer you.
- One browser preference. Your dark/light theme choice is stored in your own browser's
localStorageunder the keytheme. It is a functional setting, never transmitted to us or anyone else, and clearing your browser storage removes it. - Aggregate, anonymous traffic metrics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool built into our hosting infrastructure. It reports counts like page views, referring sites, and general device and country categories. It does not use cookies or any persistent identifier, cannot follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile tied to you individually, we only ever see totals and trends, never a record of any one visitor's activity.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request metadata transiently to serve and secure the site, as any web host does.
What we deliberately don't do
- No advertising or social-media pixels, and no analytics tool that uses cookies, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking (no Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, TikTok Pixel, or similar).
- No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling.
- No sale, sharing, or monetization of personal information, health-related or otherwise.
Consumer health data (Washington MHMDA, Nevada, Connecticut)
Pages you view here relate to health topics, and some state laws, including Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut, treat records of health-related browsing as "consumer health data." We do not collect, share, or sell consumer health data through browsing or tracking. Our aggregate analytics tool (see "What we collect" above) reports only anonymous, site-wide totals, it never identifies an individual visitor, links activity to a person, or transmits reading behavior to advertising networks or data brokers. The only way anything health-related reaches us tied to you is if you choose to include it in a contact-form message, which we use solely to answer your question (see "What you submit through our contact form" above). Since we don't otherwise collect consumer health data tied to any individual, there is none to request, correct, or delete on that basis; if you believe otherwise, contact us and we will respond as those laws require.
When you click an affiliate link
Lab-test links lead to Ulta Lab Tests, an independent company with its own privacy practices. The link itself identifies only our affiliate account, we transmit no information about you. Anything you subsequently provide the partner (including orders and lab results) is governed by the partner's own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, to opt out of sale/sharing, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. Because we do not collect personal data through browsing, there is typically nothing to act on beyond a message you've sent us directly, you can exercise any of these rights over that, or ask questions, via our contact form and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals by design, since our one analytics tool has no cookies or individual identifiers to opt out of in the first place.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are under 13, you are not authorized to use this site, please ask your parents to use it for you.
Changes to this policy
If our practices ever change again, we will update this page and its "last updated" date before the change takes effect.
